Her Index surveyed 3,490 women aged 35-55 in the United States – primarily mothers, who are professionals and managing their households – between July 2024 and March 2025.

What is Her Index?

Ever felt that a product or service designed for women didn't quite fit how your busy life works? We did too. That's why we created Her Index. Women are frequently left out of the process where crucial decisions are made that affect us. Her Index gathers information from women about their daily lives and priorities. We then share this information with those who design the products and services meant to make our lives easier and better.

How does it work?

Each day, Her Index asks a question on topics relevant to women's lives. We compile the answers and share these insights with product makers and decision-makers. Our process makes the invisible visible:

Her Index began as a tribute to working mothers and busy women, recognizing all that they do. As working women with busy households, we understand the challenges and wanted to find a way to ease the burdens and reduce the sleepless nights. Through conversations with moms and experts in personal growth, project management, and technology, we realized the need for tools that truly address women's real-life needs. By providing reliable data and actionable insights, we aim to support the women who support so many others.

Her Index was born out of a need to connect with women, engage them in ongoing conversations about their lives, and share their feedback with those creating the products and services they rely on.
